This is a great tea. I have tried many types of hibiscus tea, and the two from the Art of Tea that I have tried are by far the best. This is my favorite. It has a very full flavor. Be careful not to steep too long with this one. I was distracted one time and it did get a bit of a bitter taste after steeping longer than normal. However, it was about 5 minutes longer than usual.

I like to brew this Gong Fu style, with multiple short steeps (about 30 seconds each) to bring out the different layers of flavour. On the first brew there's a prominent chocolate aroma, with a sweet floral note that reminds me of carnations. Second brew brings a mouth-filling blast of finely textured tannins, along with some earthiness. On the third and subsequent brews there's a hint of wintergreen, and a fruitiness like dried strawberries. Very complex!

This is a tea you let cool down right underneath your nose. Just the smell is revitalizing. I let it steep for 5 minutes and the flavor is strong and smooth. The bergamot is not too strong, and the citrus is at the right level. I don't think the oolong could even taste bitter. It has a honey undertone, or maybe that's what I imagine while I drink it. You won't need to add any sweetener. I don't feel like the caffeine level is too strong, I'll end the day with a cup without any sleep issues.

AMAZING WITH A DASH LEMON Aroma is vegetal, reminds me musty grass and algae (perhaps a more appealing name for it would be starchy, but it was algae to me). Flavor is very light and quite pleasant. I would almost call it wistful. The body is neither thick nor watery, just present. This is 1 of 10 teas that I compared with 3 other tasters, in both iced and hot formats. This tea is relatively weak, so I recommend doubling the dosage from the recommended levels to really get a good representation of this tea. Both hot and cold landed in the top 3 picks from every taster. The hot cup was delicious, it has strong honey notes (but not the overwhelming sugary sweetness) and I also got good whole-milk notes as well. It was satisfying and finished quickly and smoothly. This was my single favorite iced tea that we tasted. It lost a little flavor from hot to cold, but compared to the other iced teas was still leaps and bounds above the others. Ultra smooth, truly like essence of honey. I might start drinking this every day.

I finally have gotten the chance to try a sample package of this tea. Despite having it on hand for 6 months, it still serves an extremely fresh, soothing tea. It's a bit frustrating that this company does not have consistent instructions and this has turned me off a bit. I've sent an email asking for explanation and may submit another review if I can get a better result. Gyokuro is a top quality Japanese tea that is in partial sun for the last 20-30 days before harvest. I was expecting a better understanding of the product by the company.

The smell of this tea is really overwhelming. when you open the bag, you are just hit with the smell of it - it smells good, mind you, but it's just a stronger aroma than I would expect from a completely natural tea. The delicate jasmine is almost entirely lost. The taste is OK, but not sure that I love it. However, since this is a pretty tea with the little blue cornflowers and little white flower buds, this would be perfect for packaging in little bags to use as table decorations or something.

This is a fantastic white tea presented in a unique way! Each dragon ball looks to be about an inch across and individually wrapped in tissue paper. It has the appearance of big ole white leaves wrapped into a sphere. Such a lovely sweet flavor results! I could swear there is some sugar mixed in with these white tea leaves. The flavor is light yet smooth and full for a white tea.

This kind of tea can be really good depending on how you brew it but gongfu cha isn't easy with such tight ball. You'll need to rinse it twice at least to have it starting to open then brew. I most of the time had to rely on western brewing style for this and the number of infusion is of two three maximum. Regarding the taste, if brewed correctly, you can have a few nice cups.

I gave this tea three stars because of the sheer quantity you get for the money. Its a lot. I got the $40 bag and there is a ton. Which should be your first clue. When I purchased it I read the reviews and thought maybe I had found the mother of all deals on some high end matcha. But it turns out it is just commercial grade at a good price.

After catching a whiff of this tea from the sample tin, I was hoping it would take on a different character on brewing. It didn't. This tisane is really odd. It tastes like somebody boiled a stick of incense. If the smell of patchouli turns you on, or if you are a man whose formal wardrobe includes a tie-dye shirt and open toed sandals, or perhaps a woman with hairy armpits, this this tea is for YOU!

Despite the fancy abbreviation, IMHO the oolong tea itself in this blend is not one you would pay high prices as a stand-alone tea. Still, I found the combination interesting.
